I have not tried a grilled cheese sandwich as of yet but I have tried toast as i know they say that toast goes down better then fresh bread. Right now my pouch is not liking food to well. Not sure why but everything I eat makes me burp and I keep spitting up but not throwing up. My husband says I eat to fast but tonight I took my time, sat my fork down and waited and still felt like I had to much in my pouch. I'm hoping it's something that will pass in due time if not then I'll go see my surgeon. Donna 338/256/? -82

I was really bored during my puree period so I toasted a piece of bread and put a piece of cheese on it... it wasn't bad at all.

I have eaten 1/2 of a grill cheese sandwich, without the crust. I find 1/2 is enough to fill me up, at this time. Karen G RNY 12-15-04 294 / 239 / ????

I've had it once made with low-carb bread. It was good. Sue O.

Hi Ron, I am not doing any bread, rice or pasta yet, but I have to admit I have taken a tiny bite of a grilled cheese sandwich and it was good. My friend who is about 1 1/2 years out orders grilled cheese and eats about 1/2 when we go out. I need to stay away from that stuff because I would only eat that and never get in my protein. I know you can definately have it in moderation if you can tolerate it! Enjoy. Have one for me, buddy! Fran

I made mine with one piece of bread, also on the Foreman grill. It looked great, and tasted great! I did eat the crust, but it was only one slice of bread so I think it's ok. Easy to digest, and 'real food'. If you use low-carb bread, even better! ~~ Leslie

Your joking, right? no, I haven't tried a grilled cheese- they are so high in fat and the grease level.. omg! Plus the yeast will turn around and just puff up the bread.. omg! no. sorry... i've tried pieces of bread, but I find it lumps up into a ball in my mouth and I can't swallow it... the closest thing to bread that goes in my mouth is melba toast or saltines.. I can eat a full melba toast or 4 saltines and I'm full.... my sandwhiches consist of tuna, mayo and veggies on a cracker- forget about bread, man its way too fattening for me!
