Jamie, Don't you give up!!! First of all your husband wouldn't want you too. You have come so far. Here is what you do. Go in your room and kneel down and you tell god, " God, please help me to reach my goals and get healthy and live longer" I guaratee if you do this and do it with FAITH, he is going to answer your prayers. I am going to pray also, so we know he will here us. We all will hit spots where it seems to all stop. dont worry it will start up again. We are all here for you , even though im in yuma arizona..lol..lol....God Bless you and your family. Keep your head up...now ....GO! GO!!

Jamie - you are doing everything right. Don't change a thing. Not everyone loses at the same pace. Your loss is on par with others and it will start again. Plateaus are normal and to be expected. Rome wasn't built in a day ! I am in the same situation. My loss has slowed down to almost nothing, but I know that it will restart again soon. Keep up the cardio. Don't emphasize muscle building activities. This should jump start your loss again. Karen G 294 / 239 / ????

HI Jamie I had my surgery on 12/14/04 too. I am down 56 lbs and have had several bouts with plateauing. My friend told me to do more carbs/calories. I do some pretzels when I get stuck and that seems to get me going again....don't know why but it helps. ALso, I sometimes eat the 100 calorie snacks (Cheese nips). I only do it for a few days and then back to the regiment. I also increase my water intake. I think stress causes alot of things too. I feel for you and hope things go better soon. becky

Hi Jamie, I'm sorry I did not read your post until today. You have done great with your weight loss. I have only lost 40 pounds from surgery. I started at 275. I must be on a plateau too. Are you getting in at least 64 oz of liquid a day. We have to drink a lot to wash the fat out. Also the suggestions of kicking up your exercise is good advise too. If you try the jello/water thing again and it works P L E A S E let me know how it works. Maybe that would jump start me again too. Mary Salmon
