I really need some advice. I had a egd done 3/3/05. He found a stricture , it was dilated. Why do I still feel nausiated and vomiting? Has anyone ever had this experience? I am 2 mos post op. I am wondering if I made the wrong decision about getting this surgery. I have never felt so sick and weak in my life. Please help!!!!!

Tisha, Im sorry you feel bad. You need to call your doctor and tell them whats going on. I am not possitive what a dialated stricture is, so I dont want to tell you anything wrong. I will pray for you though. Please let me know what your doctor says and how you are doing . Maybe just try and do fluids only right now..God bless you...Ron in Arizona

I had a stricture too. When my doc tried to dilate it, he ruptured me. He had to do my RNY again. Now? 2 wks after my redo, I'm feeling like I have a stricture again. For me, the symptoms are nauseated and things don't go down. After I vomit, I feel soooo much better. Perhaps your stricture has returned. Please call your doctor. Let him know whats going on. I'm calling mine in the morning. Good luck to you.

I had it done 1 week ago. I also had ulcers. I'm three months out and they want me on liquids again for a few more weeks. My nutritionist said I could drink Jamba Juice (high sugar, but I don't dump) with all the added vitamins and protean. I drink one everyday. It takes me 2-3 hours to drink one. I also drink milk for protean. I can eat a few crackers and maybe some cheese. I still hurt and I threw up for two days after the Endoscope. Each day it feels better. Liz
