12-28 surgery date-Happy 2 months!!!
Good Morning My fellow Losers!! I mean that in a good way!
Well it has been 2 months, it does not seem like it to me. As of last tuesday I'm down 35 lbs. I started at 226. I need to work on getting more liquid in and more walking!! But I'm trying!! How is it going for you all?? Well I hope. Yesterday I had one small bite of cake, it did not make me sick. But one bite was all I had. I have not been sick any. But until yesterday i was afraid to try anything other than what the Dr said I could have. I have ate a few bites of carbs like 2 bites of homemade mashed potatoes. But I have stopped after I had my taste buds tickled. Before I would not have stopped until I was beyond full! To me that is progress. How are things going for you??? Have a great day!!
Blessings
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
I had the same surgery date as you. I was a bit heavier--326--and am now 273, down 53 pounds! I am getting lots of compliments and feel so much better physically and mentally. I did some yard work on a rare spring like day in Feb and had so much energy! My surgeon took me off potatoes but added salad. It seems I am tolerating solids better as time goes by. I took 6 bags of clothes to Goodwill, put some on ebay, and put some in a consignment shop to see which is best way to go. I bought some clothes at a community yard sale from a WLS person. I am down from a size 28 to a size 22 or 2 x. I am so happy I made this decision even though I had to pay for it myself (hoping for a big tax refund though) since my insurance co is in the dark ages. I can drive my cars a few more years. You are right, time is passing quickly.
Hugs,
Barbara
Hi Tonya!!
You are doing great - you go girl !! I am so proud of you!!
I had the same surgery date as you. I'm down 41 lbs. as of this morning. Only 4 lbs. to go until I'm under 200! I cannot wait to see 199 on that scale! I've gone from a size 22 jeans to a size 14. I feel great! I am back at Curves so hopefully the weight loss will continue on its downward spiral!
Keep us posted on your progress!!
Hugs,
Christine
