Motivational Jokes For My December Crew! (Add yours Too)
Well, I though instead of hanging around here reading all day, (like I try to do).... I would start a Thread full of laughter, jokes, antidotes, and so much more.
All I ask is that if you are reading, that you add ANYTHING funny, to motivate your fellow December Crew member. It won't take a minute to read and laugh, and add on, to keep this MOTIVATIONAL THREAD going for a while! Thanks!
There was this lady, named Mary... who felt that she was not the most beautiful woman in the world. She weighed over 400#, had a very long nose and had a really funny shape to herself. Inside, she was the most inspired, devout christian you'd ever meet... yet outside, she didn't feel good about who she was.
Over time, she pray to God... 'God, please, change me, make me look better, and healthier, to live a long life.' God said...'you will live long my child, just BE YOURSELF.' As time passed, she had Bariatric surgery.... and lost over 200#! About a year later, she prayed to God...'God, please change me, help me look better, and healthier, to live a longer life.' God said... 'you will live long my child, just BE YOURSELF.' About a few months later, she had a nose job, and lipo suction. Another year passed, and she prayed again... 'God, please change me, I want to look better, and live a long life... 'God said, you will live long my child... JUST BE YOURSELF.' .... and off to the plastic surgeon she went, to have a tummy tuck, an inner thigh job, a butt lift and a breast augmentation.
Wow... she looked fabulous! As she left her house, going to work, she was tragically hit by a bus! When she got to heaven, she saw God, and she asked Him.... 'God, I though you told me that I would live a long life.' God looked at her and said.... 'Mary, is that you?'
So you see, sometimes we can change too much of ourselves, that God won't even know us, because sometimes, we loose track and forget HOW TO JUST BE OURSELVES!
Moral: It's cool to change on the OUTSIDE, as long as we remember who we are ON THE INSIDE!

Vera,,,that's very true. I want to tell you a story It's cute, and it will make you smile...When Icame home from my WLS on december 24th everyone in my family was over on christmas eve so we can let the little ones open presents from their uncles and aunts and grandma etc.. I have 8 brothers 1 sister and im the oldest . so as you can see we were busy. well anyway, I was feeling a little tired so I decided I would try and take a shower and lay down, That was going good until I got this very sharp pain in my lower right side. Good thing all my brothers were there to come and help me get out of the shower and to my bed. Iwas in so much pain, and everyone was running around trying to get me comfortable, and my nephew Ethan (he's 7 y/o) Walks into my room with all of theese grown ups in there trying to help me, because I was in tears from the pain. When all of a sudden Ethan says " WHY DONT WE PRAY FOR UNCLE RONNIE, THAT WILL MAKE HIM FEEL GOOD" It got dead quiet, and everyone looked at him and said .you are right!!! I just thought that was so cute..ok im going now, This story always makes me have tears in my eyes......Ron in Arizona

Hi Vera, Monica and Ron,
I agree that Vera's story is so true and we should never lose sight of why we did this surgery. Ron's story made me think of how my kids have been just as supportive as my husband has. So, here's a cute story, not a joke. I was trying on clothes to see what fits (which we all do a lot these days) and I put on a "little black dress" which I haven't worn in 8 years! Anyway, I came out of the room to show my hubby and kids that it fit and my 8 year old, Brian said, "Mommy, you look like Barbie!" Well, anyone who knows me, knows that a 4 foot 11 inch, Italian with curly hair, cannot possibly look like Barbie, but to our kids, I guess we can! Thanks for sharing your stories.
Love,
Fran
