need more protein
What are you eating?
I log everything I eat into fitday to keep track of where I am protein wise and usually end the day with a protein shake (32g of protein). Between what I eat and the 1 shake I get in 100g of protein daily.
My protein... deli meats (lean), chicken, beef, eggs, cheese, fish (tuna, salmon, tilapia). I try to keep it varied so I don't get bored.
You can also get protein from bean (I prefer black beans) and from chili (jus****ch the fat content).
2/3 of my meals are protein and the other 1/3 is either veggies or fresh fruit. So at least 4 times a day I'm eating 2 oz of protein (there are 7g of protein in every ounce of protein). If I'm feeling like I'm not reaching my protein requirements during the day I make my snacks 100% protein since I'm only able to eat 3oz of food at a time.

I found shrimp at Trader Joes. 3 Butterfly shrimp have 20gm of protean.
I also have just started eating beef jerkey. I found one that is not to dry and it does not hurt my pouch. They are steak cubes the size of dice. each one has 3 grams of protean.
Other then that I get my protean from Milk and Milk based protean drinks.

HI Laurie, dont worry..tyr some Wendy's chili. one small one is 16gr protein. I also eat about 2-3 string cheese sticks throughout the day. boiled eggs are good (eat just the white part) and fat free milk in your protein shake , Oh yea.. 2 tblsspoons of peanut butter is about 9grams of protein, add that in your shake too. try these they should help..let me know ..Ron in arizona
