Hello Everyone!!
I guess when I found this board I was so excited that I forgot to formally introduce myself. My name is James and I live in South Ga. I had surgery on Dec. 13th in Anniston, Alabama. My Surgeon was Bryan Freeman a wonderful Christian Dr. who is also a patient himself. I am 56 and have been married to my beautiful wife Lena for 31 Happy years. I have been a born again Christian since 1976 and love the Lord with all my heart.
I am so looking forward to making a lot of new friends here and hope to hear from you guys often. Anyone who would like may e-mail me at anytime as I spend a lot of time on the computer and check my mail as well as the board frequently.
Sincerely, James
Good morning James, Debbie here -- we exchanged e-mails yesterday. I too had RNY-LAP on 12/13/04, but in Arizona. By the grace of God I was able to have this surgery. My insurance wouldn't cover any part of it and I prayed and just kept doing all the preliminary testing, etc., and then on Thanksgiving a couple from my small group through my church called and said they wanted to pay for my surgery. It's a long story, but the bottom line is I had the surgery a few weeks later with not one complication. Praise the Lord! I am also a Christian woman and love the Lord with all my heart. I am involved in a few ministries through the church. One is Church Behind the Walls. We go into prisons in Arizona and give group seminars over the weekends. A lot of planning and one never knows when we can't get in for some reason on a particular scheduled weekend, like a lock down or something. Very rewarding though. I get much more out of it then the prisoners do, I'm sure. Well, have a nice day and a happy holiday weekend. We have had it very rainy here in Arizona lately -- very unusual. Hard to get out and do my hour and a half walk after work when it won't stop raining. Anyway, talk to you later. Debbie.
