Sandwiches?

I haven't tried sandwiches yet simply because I don't have the room! 3oz meals are my max and 2 oz of that is taken up with protein. So I've been making inside out sandwiches, wrapping the deli meat around the sprouts, mustard and tomatoes and that's been great. I have had 1/2 a slice of pizza, dough included, and it tasted really good (although it was a little greasy). I think as I get a little further out and I'm able to eat a little more I'll eventually get to a point where I'll try a sandwich. Jen

ok, no untoasted bread for me at all and even when it is toasted I eat very little of it. This is a bad thing for me. Luckily rice makes me sick. I say luckily because that was such a hard thing for me to say no to before wls. I'm going to try to only make good choices from this point on. I feel so much better since I've lost this 62lbs and I look forward to losing even more. I have found that I can tolerate more sugar than is suggested so I have to be careful there too. I ate an ice cream with 14 grams of sugar and it didn't make me sick so I can't rely on that sick feeling to keep me away from the old vices but hey, we do what we can. I just remember where I came from and know I never want to go back Jessica

I haven't tried a sandwich until this morning and OMG it was so good. I took one piece of low carb fat free bread and toasted it. Once it was toasted really good I cut it down the middle making my one piece of bread into two very toasted thin slices. I placed two slices of bacon and a piece of cheese in the middle and was able to eat half of it. It was so good. I was satisfied and not stuffed it went down fine. I wasn't able to eat anything until mid afternoon but definately was not sick. So I ended up eating a quarter slice of bread about 1 slice of bacon and 1/2 slice of cheese. The best meal I have had so far. I don't plan to do this often but it was nice for a change.

BREAD IS WASTED CALORIES... It hs no protein at all. So, why eat it? Instead, I prefer to just have the meat and cheese, and that suffices. I don't want my weight to slow down over some bread... and I DEFINITELY don't want to be back where I started, just for the sake of eating a sandwhich. Not worth it at all! To each his/her own.
