I'M SO SAD!
LIZ YOU JUST KEEP FOLLOWING THE RULES... YOU BODY IS CATCHING UP AND READJUSTING... I DID THE SAME THING... THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN I DIDN'T THINK I COULD STAND IT... IT DROPPED... I FOUND THAT I HAD LOST INCHES WHILE I WAS NOT LOSING POUNDS... REMEMBER MUSLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT... BUT TAKES UP LESS AREA... SO YOU COULD BE GAINING MUCSLE AND LOSING FAT AND THEREFORE STAY THE SAME....
JUST DON'T GET ON THE SCALE SO MUCH.... JUST DO WHAT YOUR SUPPOSE TO AND WAIT A WHILE AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED!!

Liz - You've done great!
Next Tuesday I will be two months out and I've lost 41 pounds thus far.
That is just they way our bodies work. You lost pounds, then the pounds stop and your body has to catch up by shedding inches. When it has adjusted to that loss, it will go back to the pounds. It's just a cycle. Get used to it now because it will be like this a lot.

Liz, I agree with the other posts. We all lose differently. Sometimes we lose in inches and not in pounds. I have had this happen to me and I too was wondering what I could be doing wrong. I am trying so hard not to get caught up in the weight loss "thing". I know that each day I feel better, my clothes are hanging off me, I have more energy, and I smile alot.
Follow the rules, be good to yourself. Try some exercise variations and stop fretting.

Don't be sad Liz,
I had my WLS on 12/9/04 and have lost 40 pounds(well 72-----I lost 32 lbs before surgery) but I had complications and was unable to exercise until a couple of weeks ago. I developed an abscess from one of my incisions sites and had to have surgery again on 12/29/04 to debride the infections. So...don't be sad, you'll do fine
Don't be sad Liz.... My surgeon told me that unless I did some really stupid things, that it is nearly impossible to fail during the first 6 months. But it is very normal to have plateaus along the way. I have heard some others say that if you change up your routine, both with food and excercise that it'll jump start your weight loss again.
Good Luck to you, you'll do fine. Just give it a little time.
