Loser @ 2 months
Nine weeks out- I had my VBG on Dec 1st-
I am down to 290 from 350 pounds....
I never in a million years thought I would be so happy at getting under 300 pounds!
And its weird- my friends tell me they all see the 'loss'- in my face and body and all- but the only change I notice is a ring now fits where it didn't for the past five years!
Heck- I still fit into my pre-op clothes- tho' they are getting baggy....
Now if I can just get my hair to stop shedding- I had been doing so well, I thought in getting my daily protein- but now I read some of your tips- and realize I am nowhere near enough protein-daily....
Katherine, CONGRATULATIONS!! WOW! I know the feeling...when I first got under 300, I had to do a little happy dance!
I can relate to how you feel about not really noticing much of a difference, as I don't see much in myself...even though my husband keeps teasing me about "wasting away," and my "turkey neck!" (Although, he means it affectionately).
I have heard about the hair loss problem in others..it seems to be the after effects of the anesthesia wreaking havoc on the body. Thank God, I have not as yet experienced that, but that doesn't mean it won't happen any day, now. I have seen some post about how the hair loss happens even weeks after the surgery.
It is good to hear you are doing so well, and on your way to becoming a "skinnier" you! From everything I have read about, the hair loss is only temporary, and will one day correct itself.
God bless you!
