~Medications~

Hello everyone and happy Monday.... I just wanted to share the great news! I went to my PCP last week and they took me off all of my Meds.. I used to be on 2 blood presure meds and glucophage xr. I was taken off the last BP med because my BP is down to 118/80!!! WOOHOO! I am 27 and I had BP of 158/110... glad that is gone!!! Beckie

Awesome! Congratulations! What a lifesaver! I didn't have high blood pressure but I do have diabetes. I took Actos, Glypizide, Glucophage (1000 mg 2x a day!) AND insulin, along with Zocor and Hyzaar (diabetics get BP medicine just because! LOL) I am down to Actos only (Glucophage makes me "dump" yuck!), but no more insulin or any of the others! Yea!!! That alone makes this surgery worthwhile! Karen Height: 5'9" 250/217/??? Goal: 160??? maybe less!!
