5 Year re-gain

In our support group meeting some of the people who had this surgery years ago has noticed that their body has adated to the surgery. The colon/intestines get bigger and it starts to digest more of the food. As a result they said something like 90% of patients gain back 50% of the weight that they lost from the surgery. I mention this not to depress any of us, but to help us remember that during this honeymoon period how important it is that we find new healty receipes, habits, etc.

Thanks for reminding us that this surgery is a TOOL and only a permanent change of lifestyle is going to make us successful in our efforts to be healthy and fit for LIFE. I applaud your honesty and thanks for the heads up!
