Hello all 6 er's and December post ops. I am really doing OK. I have had my moments this week, the KFC chicken thing for one, but all in all I am a happy women and enjoying my new life. I find that with a little pre-planning about foods and snacks I can breeze through my day at work and follow my agenda. I drink lots of water and have many healthy snacks and food choices. I still rely on my protein powder to start my day and enjoy it. I have had a protein drink at night too, 3 times this week when I found I did not get enough protein from my food intake. I am bringing more vegetables into my menu and have salad more often. Very nice indeed. I am very leary of fruit since I experienced the one red grape incident a month ago and the small glass of OJ last week. I can eat the baby food applesauce, pears, and peaches so will stick with those fruits. I can tolerate any meat well as long as I eat small bites and chew well. I have not grasped the exercise element by the horns yet, but did join a gym yesterday. I will need to work with a trainer before I begin so I hope we can schedule an appointment for me this week. The gym has a nice treadmill/elepitcal machines room and a super nautalius area too. I will have 5 training session which is very good. I plan on using the treadmills first to help me gain strength for my legs. I wish myself help and the get up and go I need to succeed. I have lost 41 pounds and find it hard to believe this is happening to me. Clothes are getting big around my butt and legs...what joy. My ankles are not swollen and huge, sometimes I stare at them and think skinny ankles oh my. My bras are big and the cups are no longer bursting. My panties are baggy. What fun.I threw out a pair of shoes, too big Ha Ha. I cleaned out my closet last Sunday and will do this again next week. I will have to go to my local Goodwill again. Very nice indeed. I have my 2 month check up with the weight loss doctors on Tuesday. I hope they are pleased with my nutritional intake and my blood sugars. I reviewed the 12 reasons why I wanted this surgery and I have achieved two of my goals, feeling healthier each day and a more "frisky" sexual attitude. My walking is still labored due to my arthritic knees but progress is happening. I too want to have professional photographs taken of me when I reach my end weight. I also would like to go into a regular store and buy fashionable, fun, sophisticated clothes. All in good time. Again best of luck to all of us. Let us remember why we came to this place in our lives....let us make wise choices, no more "stupid" tricks, and be very good ourselves. Happy women, Monica 330/289/??

Hi. I go back to work tomorrow. I had 2 months off. i don't wanna go back to work (i'm enjoying being home with my 2 year old). anyway, i've only lost 31 pounds so far. but tomorrow i will start exercising at the gym where i work. my ultimate goal is to go to amusement parks and not worry whether or not i will fit into the rides and the strap/harness will go down. i avoid those kind of rides now-a-days. i would like to shop in the "misses" section instead of the "woman" section. that day will come. have a great day... sue

Hi other 6er's. I have lost a total of 57 pounds so far, but have recently fell off the exercise wagon. Time to climb back on. My goals are to downhill ski with my husband (won't do it cause I don't want everyone laughing at the fat lady who fell down and can't get up), and looking good in a swimsuit this summer. Congrats to everyone who is a loser like me!!! Cheryl
love to shop

Hi, Bon Bon. I lost 44 pounds so far. Could be better, but could be worse. Last week I lost 7 pounds or so, I have not lost that much in one week for a while. I've had one heck of a flu. It really kicked my butt and made me miss 4 days of work. I was not doing the protein thing, I was not doing the exercise thing. I couldn't eat at all. I felt queasy from 2 spoonfuls of food. Yougurt is my usual staple, I couldn't even handle that. I tried to drink tea and sip water. Water made me pucky too. Today, I went back to work, got all my food all ready and left it at home on a counter. Oh, disaster, what do I eat? I wound up eating nothing until noon, just drank. I ordered a cheese quesadilla (probably a bad choice), tried to pick cheese out and leave the tortilla. It wasn't easy and in the process I ate some of the tortilla, as well. I feel guilty I think it's time to downshift to a size 18 jeans. I don't particularly care for the bags on my pant legs. I am tickled pink about the weight loss, wi**** would go quicker. I have a lot more energy, I cleaned the house after being really sick for almost a whole week, and didn't even get tired. I should go through my closet and get rid of the larger things. I enjoy the fact that my bras are not poking or pinching me (I always bought them too small. LOL) However the post about the 5 year regain made me blue

When I get to my goal, I'm going to get a tattoo. I've been wanting one for 25 years, but have been too chicken.
