Hello all, I was at work this morning. Then all of a once I got very very light headed and all most past out at work. I had my banana then started taking my vitamins... I was at my computer had to take of my glasses and lay me head down. A co worker told me to eat some nuts. So I did, little by little I felt so much better... I guess I need more portein, but I am so tired of food... So what do I do now...

I can't stand food anymore myself. I have to force myself to eat, it's awful If I don't eat I get cramps in my stomach, my legs start cramping and feel sick and sometimes I'll throw up some of my meal. My surgeon is AGAINST the portein drinks but I still buy Atkins low Carb drinks as they seem to help me when I can't stomach food. There is 20grams of portein in each can. Another problem I'm having is getting my water in on a daily bases. Donna

What about your water? Are you getting 64 oz. a day? 2 weeks after surgery I started having the same problem. It turns out I was getting dehydrated. It is an awful feeling. When it happens I drink diluted Gatorade and it perks me right back up. Check with your doctor!

Hi Brenda, I am so suprised that your doctor is against the protein drinks. I wonder what his theory is on this. But anyway I also get lightheaded if I don't do protein in the morning. I do the Isopure premixed/prebottled protein with 40g each from GNC. Or sometimes a powder protein with soy milk or juice and the banana. You may need some calories in the morning. Another option that my Dr. recommended is gatorade and I am able to tolerate it and it perks me up esp. in the morning and after workouts and if you are not eating much. Also have you tried B-12? this helps me also Good Luck and take care of yourself

Hey Brenda, I'm managing to get in about 100 gms of protein a day and feel great. Here's my typical meal schedule: B: 16 oz of chocolate carb countdown mixed with a banana and 1 scoop of chocolate unjury protein (tastes like a chocolate shake - yum!) S: string cheese L: some sort of seafood, chili, or 1/2 lean cusine S: Protein power crunch bar - very yummy D: 1/2 lean cusine or seafood. S: 6 oz of water mixed with protein Plenty of water in between. Hope this helps! Candy 266/225/130
