Re-occuring stricture..... and STARVATION?

Anyone else out there experienced re-occuring strictures? My Surgery was 12/7/04 and about 2.5 weeks after I began having pains and throwing up foods and meds. At three weeks they had gastro doc do an Endoscopy and he had to Dialate a stricture. He said they made it a "12". They told me they thought it was too soon to see this, but once inside it in fact was the problem. I was sick to my stomach for a week afterwards and became dehydrated! After a night in ER from back pains and dehydration I figured I was back on the right road to recovery.... 6 weeks out I began feeling sick and throwing up again. Last Thursday my gastro doc "Stretched" the opening back up to a "9"! I also became extremely constipated and developed bleeding when I did have bowel movement. Four days later.... I'm SICK AGAIN!!!!! They went back in today and this time they Dialated the opening back to a "9"... so it's closed back down in only a week. They told me I have to get dialated again within next 4 - 7 days and probably another 2 times at least after that. SO WHY DOES IT KEEP CLOSING????? I'm not getting in my food and fluids this week as everything makes me sick to my stomach! Of course my energy has Plumetted as well as my sleep!!!! My primary doc was asked to do a Urine test on Tuesday and he told me I'm "OFFICIALLY STARVING"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know..... Is this the case with everyone who has had the surgery or is something wrong???? I'm supposed to go to DISNEY on Feb. 12th... I"M GOING!!!!!!!!! I guess I'll Save $$$$$$$ on FOOD & DRINK! Anyone else experience this that often??????????? Pat

I have not experience this and I'm worry your having to deal with the pain and frustration of all this. It makes you wonder why some people have this complication and others don't. What makes one person have strictures and others don't. Hope you start feeling better soon. Donna
