First time dumping!

Well, it finally happened. I've been complaining to everybody that I can eat almost anything with no problems. I wanted to get sick off of something so I wouldn't want to eat it anymore. I have cheated a few times and had a couple bites of sugary things with no problem, so I assumed I didn't dump on sugar. Things changed today. My daughter brought home a bunch of Hershey's miniatures and she didn't want them. So of course I couldn't resist. I ate 4 of them. I guess I went over the sugar limit. And I am still paying for it. I never threw up, but shortly afterwards I started sweating and got so dizzy and lightheaded. Now I have a pounding headache. This is dumping, right? If so, I've never been so excited to feel like crap before. I never want to eat chocolate again! Melissa

Yes, that sounds like dumping to me. I have never had it eather. I am scared I won't be at home when it happens. I've read it last about 30 min. Liz

Scares me! It almost sounds like I use to feel when I would have blood sugar crashes. Thanks for sharing. It discourages me from wanting to push the limits too! M

Melissa. I hope you feel better real quick. I have not dumped from anything, but I am paranoid to even come near chocolate or cookies. I had a few Honey Nut Cheerios to see what happens. Nothing happened. Good luck E.G.

I havent experienced dumping yet,.. and after reading this, I know I dont want to. I have experienced a peice of food getting stuck and how bad that hurts!!!! Felt like a heart attack (not that I have ever had the comparison). The only way to feel better was to get sick... YUCK! Hope you feel better! Beckie

I haven't experienced dumping, but I get a really "stuffed" feeling if I eat too much. I can only consume very small portions at a sitting. I haven't tried anything containing sugar, yet. I am afraid to push my limits. I want to maximize my weight loss capabilities during this honeymoon phase of the process. My favourite meal right now is shrimp, but I know I can't eat it too often, as it is high in cholesterol. Shrimp goes down too good. I could live on the stuff, if it wasn't too high in cholesterol.
