December babies..eating more
I too had surgery on 12/06. You need to track your intake or share what it is you are eating daily so we can help answer your question. I use the free on line service of FItDay.com to list and track everything I am eating. I measure my meals with spoons or measuring cups and judge meat portion by the palm of my hand. My weight loss doctors want at least 1000 calories, 100 carbs, and 70-90 grms protein per day. I drink 64 + oz of water each day and outside of a glass of smart skim mild nothing else. (Had a bad reaction to a small glass of OJ, will stay away from that for a long time).
Today I had my Jay Robb protein drink with smart skim milk = 34 grm protien, a laughing cow wedge of cheese, 5 soy pretzels, 3 oz tuna with 1.5 T of lite mayo with 7 rf triscuits, a Kozy Shack tapioca pudding, 1/4 cup unsalted amonds, and all 64 oz water. I have had 3 of my optisource vitamins, one more to go. I do not know what my hubby is making for dinner, but I did ask for a hamburger, will just have to wait and see. I do not feel I am eating too much. I have lost 40 pounds so far as of this morning, Hurrah for me. I feel good and am so thankful for this surgery. Do you have a nutritionist or group of medical providers who are helping you? I have a super support staff, I can call there with questions, I see one of the staff each month and go to support group meetings 2 times a month at night.
Remember you paid for this surgery and the support should be there from professionals to help you achieve success.

hi im ron in arizona,,if you want to get an idea of what to eat.or a daily menu.just post that question on this message board and you will get a great idea of what everyone else is doing.ok?I eat things liketuna, pringles(only 4or5 at a time),cheese sticks, clam chowder, split pea w/ham soupand even chicken gumbo that vera told me about.vera is from this board also.I will post some more food ideas later..hope this helps and god bless you..
Monica, you are terrific! I am also on Fit.com, but no where near those numbers for anything... INCLUDING WATER! I just increased my protein intake by 35g more per day, in drink form... as far as water... well, I try to drink more and more each day, and drink plenty of herbal tea. It helps.
As for food... I can't hold anything heavy, and had to revert back to a 'blended' diet. Go figure! I tried eating 1 egg, chesse, and all that other soft diet stuff, and it comes back up! I did go to the doctor, and he said I have to chew, chew, chew... but I do chew, chew chew.
I give up! Food is not for me!
I hope as a result, I dont' get sick. I'll just start all over again, and hopefully, by the time I can tollerate food again, I won't starve!

From the beginning of solids, I have been able to eat more than I should be able to! I would love to know what the real size of my pouch is, since it seems bigger than I was told! So I just try to use a lot of self control, and measure out my food before I start eating -- which is very hard to do! I asked my nutritionist about it, and she said that we CAN eat more of the softer foods, like tuna, for instance, since it is already starting down as we eat. But we are still supposed to limit how much we eat at one sitting!
