How sweet Ron... you ALWAYS know the sweeter side of discussions: I thank God for a successful surgery, and smooth recovery. I thank God for WLS and the fact that I have lost -35 lbs so far @ 1month 1 week time. I thank God for so much, and I'll continue thanking and praising Him each and everyday! I'll pass this on to the next December 2004 Team member.... Vera 12/20/04 -35 343/308/? LAP RNY Proximal

Every day, sometimes more each day I thank God for this new life. I am so very aware of this gift. That finally at age 57, I can look forward to living my life instead of watching it march past me. Yes I was an active women *****ally loved life. I was heavy, but I had 3 kids and things to do and try. However in the past 3-5 years as the knee pain increased due to the increase in weight, I with drew to the side lines. Going places, getting out of the car, shopping, everygthing became a chore. So when I say I took back my life, I recognize that God's hand was helping me grab the gold ring and seize it. Monica

I thank God for my amazing husband who supports me 250%. Without him, this journey would have been more difficult. I also thank God for my amazing surgeon.

I thank God because i have seen his wonderful hands in my surgery and my recuperation. I thank him every day because he allowed me to come out of the surgery okay and because he gives me the strength everyday to continue to get better and the strength to try to stay positive even though we all know we can be depressed. God is present in my life everyday because if it was not for him I would not be here. Thank you for this wonderful question.......

Hi Ron, What a great discussion to start! I thank God every day for the chance I had to reclaim my life through this surgery. My recovery has been very smooth, I am going back to work Monday to my job which I love and I don't think about food all the time any more. I am especially thankful for my wonderful, supportive husband and my three great adult kids who have been there to help whenever I needed it during my recovery. I am truly blessed. Laurel

Hi Ron, I want to thank God as well for getting me through the surgery and making me appreciate that we are all now eating to live instead of living to eat! I want to thank Him for giving me my life with my children back. I now go out with them and play with them. He has not only blessed me with the wonderful man I am married to, but he has blessed me by inspiring him to support me so much. Most of all I continue to thank him for my friends and family and that includes all of you who I get so much inspiration from on this wonderful website. That felt great! God Bless you, Ron Fran
