Good morning everyone! SURGERY TYPE: RNY SURGERY DATE: 12/20/04 WEIGHT BEFORE: 325 WEIGHT CURRENTLY: 305 TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS SO FAR: -20 TYPICAL MEAL (B - L - D - S): B- 1 skim milk, water; L- anything soft or seafood; D - egg salad, tuna, or soup - apple juice/water/more water; S - Atkins Chocolate Protein shake WHAT WORKS FOR YOU: apple juice & seafoods WHAT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU: applesauce, crackers & toast! PROBLEMS: none! PRAISES: I've lost 20 lbs in 1 month! I can't seem to get anymore off since I've been back to work. ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU WANT TO SHARE: I'm not sure about exercise yet. I feel like I'm stuck! I've gained 3 pounds since I've been back to work. Something doesn't seem to be working. I wish I could figure out what it is. NEW PRODUCTS TO SHARE: Pretzel sticks for a quick snack if you are on the run and can't tolerate crackers.

Hello My name is Cynde Whitten SURGERY TYPE: RNY - Distal SURGERY DATE: 12/14/04 WEIGHT BEFORE: 278 WEIGHT CURRENTLY: 241 TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS SO FAR: -37 TYPICAL MEAL (B - L - D - S): well I am still struggling with foods. ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU WANT TO SHARE: WHAT WORKS FOR YOU: cranberry juice & soups WHAT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU: too much to mention, so far I think I still take too big of bites or something. PROBLEMS: I have had 2 strictures and a rupture with the second repair so I was npo with central line for 10 days re-released on 1-15 so now after a week of liquids trying to eat but it is a real challange! Dr. said anything I can tollerate it i**** and miss so far..... I am having a terrible time with protien (may get 12 in) and water may get 14 oz in I am worried, but hopeful PRAISES: I've lost 37lbs in 1 month and 1 week! ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU WANT TO SHARE: Any helpful ideas would be appericated. NEW PRODUCTS TO SHARE: None

Cynde: We need to work on your protein. I have two suggestions One - go to GNC and buy your favorite Isopure liquid. It is like crystal light but full of protein and comes in glass bottle. I water it down with water or crytal light mixed up. Two, Unjury mixed with one cup of lactaid milk, and two ice cups. I like the vanilla. sip slow slow slow.

Vhappy T Thankyou for the suggestions I have tried Isopure can't get it down even diluted but I will try mixing it with crystal light. I am not sure what unjury is can you tell me more or were to find it? Cynde

In case I was not clear with mixing the crystal light and Isopure. I mix the crystal light with water just as I would if I were going to drink it. Like if I am drinking the fruit punch isopure which is red I mix it with red raspberry crystal light, if I am drinking the orange Isopure I mix it with the orange crystal light etc. Like half five ounces of Isopure, add a couple of ounces of the crystal light, and a couple of ice cubes. i hope you like it. It really got my protein in.

SURGERY TYPE: RNY - PROXIMAL SURGERY DATE: 12/17/04 WEIGHT BEFORE: 403 WEIGHT CURRENTLY: 363 TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS SO FAR: -40 TYPICAL MEAL (B - L - D - S): B- 1 egg (usually scrambled or hard-boiled; L- soup or tuna/chicken w/ lite mayo; D - Usually chicken breast, lean ground beef or pork WHAT WORKS FOR YOU: Most anything is satisfying to my new pouchie WHAT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU: Nothin' has really made me sick unless I didn't chew good enough but have NEVER yet!! PROBLEMS: Nothing so far - And hoping it stays that way too!!! PRAISES: I'm finally becoming a healthy person and losing 40 pounds in a little over a month is an awesome feeling!! WHAT WORKS FOR YOU: moist fish, chicken and seafodd and soft cooked vegetables. WHAT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU: some eggs, so far PROBLEMS: eating too fast and not chewing well enough PRAISES: I've lost 34 lbs in 1 month!
