Ok, December Team, What you Eat Today & Yesterday?
Well, I hope you all enjoyed my soft-food soulful recipies. Now, lets share with each other what we ate today and yesterday! I am on a very high protein diet, which is also a soft-food diet. So far, everything tastes sooo good! In between each meal (30m before and 30m after), if I am thirsty, I drink apple juice, diluted with water, about 32 oz, 1/2 day, and I try to get 32 oz before bedtime. I notice each day my appitite is increasing, but it still takes me about 30 min to eat, even this little bit. I do get full, and STOP, because I can feel it in my chest if I keep going!

I need a snack! I am still hungry!
I ate buffet lunch at the Chinese food place yesterday. This really helped get in the proteins! I ate tofu (from the soups, did not drink the liquid), the baked fish, mushroom stuffed with crabmeat creamcheese, spinach with cheese and a small chunk of cantelope. Of course, the portions were very small. I took my time, reading a book, and probably got down one full cup of food. This was satisfying treat!
I had a liquid protein breakfast. For supper, I ate a little chicken (sneaked into my purse from lunch) and 1/2 rice cake (popcorn flavor).
Today, I did a protein liquid for breakfast. Lunch was cottage cheese, a slice of canned peach, mashed potatoes and gravy, all in very small portions.
Tonight, I had grilled fish, 2 cooked baby carrots and 1/2 rice cake.
Would like to add that I've been using the pressure cooker to make soups. I put in potatoes, mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, celery, whatever sounds good at the moment. I also add pre-cooked hamburger, or a leftover cooked checken breast, then cook 15 min on high with 1/2 c. water. Have also added albacore tuna after cooking. Also, after cooking, I add V8 juice and heat. I like to serve this with cilantro on top the bowl of soup.
I like cheese, besides which it's quick and easy. But let's face it, cheese can also cause constipation.
Remember that tofu is an excellent source of protein. It's also quick and easy. You can eat it plain, stir it into a protein drink, or add it to soup or a stir fry. Rita
