Weight Check.... are you still not loosing? HELP! Advice needed!
Surgery was 12/27
At my two week checkup I had lost 22 lbs, 250 to 228. I was losing 2 - 3 lbs a day for a while! Then all of a sudden, BOOM, the scale didn't move. The Dr. had told me I could eat what I could tolerate but try to keep it soft foods, so cottage cheese (non-fat), tuna, chicken breast has been my staple. Like you I was having trouble getting all my liquid in. But he said my Protein drink (IsoPure Alpine Punch) counted, along with any non-caloric, non-caffeine drink. I was afraid I might be eating too much! (Ironic, huh?)
I was a borderline case anyway, BMI was 36, but with diabetes and arthritis, I had no trouble getting approved. The Dr. said I would lose slower than most and he was surpirsed I had lost as much as I did the first two weeks. I am now down 3 more pounds, but I have decided once a week on the scale is enough. I get too depressed otherwise!
My question is at three weeks out, what is the average amount you can eat at one meal? They told me to eat 6 small meals a day. Heck, ALL my meals are small, but I worry that sometimes I may eat too much or maybe I am taking too long to eat so the food is funneling through. Any suggestions? I measure out about 3 - 4 ounces of food and eat with my grandson's rubber baby spoon! But sometimes I don't feel satisfied!
Good luck everyone! Stay healthy!

I hoped onto this board today to see what everyone was losing. So I am glad this thread was here. I have lost 31 pounds and I am 5 weeks out.
In the first 2 weeks, I would lost about 1 pd. a day. Now I lose one or 2 every few days. About 4-5 pds a week.
We are all about on the same track, which is encouraging. About 30 pds. the first month. What I heard is the norm. is 30 the first month, then 60 by month 6! So I guess we should all not be TOO worried that the weight loss has slowed.
Wow! I am so happy to read that everyone is aroundt he same in weight loss. I guess, between 25-35 is about normal for the 1st month. I hope that the 2nd month would be doubled! LOL
Well, seeing that we are all 'eating' at some rate, now... the weight may come off again, because we need calories to burn off fat! Now our bodies will not be confused, having food in it.
So, lets keep our posts current, with food, weights and etc, December team!
Lets keep it going!
Thanks to everyone!
