Well it's been almost a month. I got to the gym almost every day and walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes usually I get about a mile and a half in. I'm supposed to be on puree, but I've been eating some tender meats normall I just chew really well. I started at 285 with the goal of losing 160 and so far on my bathroom scale I'm now down to 259 so that makes 26 lbs... woo hoo. How are the rest of you doing?

Hi. I am new to this site. I had my surgery on Dec. 14. I am down 34lbs as of last Monday. I only weigh in once a week - I don't want to drive myself nuts. I must admit I need to start doing what you are doing...walking everyday. I have not started that yet, but plan to this week. I also am managing to eat tender meats - but chewed really well. Sometimes if I don't concentrate, it will get stuck and I throw it up. (ie, last night). But if I behave myself, I do ok. Good luck to you! Deb

I weigh like 10 times a day.. and yes I do drive myself nuts!! ha ha

My RNY was 12/21 too. I'm down 26 lbs since surgery, but I lost 11 lbs preparing for surgery. I'm pleased. But, I'm exhausted. I'm walking some, and back to work. I work as a recovery room RN and its very active work. But, I could sleep at any moment.

I know what you mean,the first couple of weeks I didn't ever feel like I would get rested! I gained 11lbs in the hospital the first night ha ha! Best of luck to you in the future!

Hey Brooke. My name is Vera. I am a 12/20 Team member, and hope you will join me. I posted up a message on today, and ask anyone on or around 12/20, to join in on daily Postings, to update each other. So far, I have lost 30lbs, and it tetters back and forth between 28-30. I am just starting my soft food diet, and walking on the tredmill, too. Just started both. They say that the more protein we eat, along with the exercise, the weight in the 2nd month will start to come off. What do you guys think? What have you heard so far?
