6 Weeks Post-OP
Right before Christmas, I hurt myself when trying to roll over in bed. I pulled something and it was horrible. I left out a scream, it hurt so bad. It took me over 2 weeks for it to go from a sharp pain when getting up or if I moved the wrong way. Now it's not a sharp pain, but I'm sore in that area. I'm going back to work this Monday, 1-17-2005. I'm still sore, but I'm going to give it a try. I've lost the 20 lbs. that I gained in the hospital from the IV's and an additional 29 lbs., so I'm pretty happy with the weight loss. I walk every day. I started on regular food now. My taste buds, aren't the same. Little by little I'm starting to taste things, otherwise there hasn't been much flavor. I've thrown up twice in the last week. Sometimes I wonder if I'm consitrating so hard on chewing 30 times, that I don't taste the food! You all take care...Rose Monigold
congrats on your weight loss. sadly, i've only lost 27 so far from my last visit w/my dr last week. if you haven't, i really think you ought to call the dr about your pain. if you have, what did he/she say? good luck going back to work. they gave me 8 weeks off and even tho i probably don't need it, i'm sure enjoying the time off. i go back 2/7. take care sue
I puuled a muscle at week 5 and I thought I tore something inside it hurt so bad. I called my surgeon who said to use heat and take it easy and it went away after about a week. I have also noticed that the food just doesn't taste the same. If I could I would rather just drink liquids all day but that is unrealistic. Maybe it will keep me out of trouble if nothing tastes great anymore (hopefully).
Congrats on the weight loss and keep up the good work
