Scared, Frustrated but Still Happy with my choice...
Hi Teresa,
We have the same date! I am also nervous about the whole WLS but I am very happy about my decision as well. I've lost 46 pounds total (including pre-op weightloss)...I am starting to get a lot of compliments - a wonderful thing! It is rather different feeling so full without eating much. I am trying sliced deli meat and I get full on an ounce or so. Although, I am finding it very difficult getting in the 64 oz of liquids!!!! When you don't feel hungry, you don't want to eat/drink. I carry a water bottle every where but still can't seem to get it all in.
Keep up the excellent work!
Jenn
I had my surgery Dec. 7th, 2004. I went through a phase on questioning my decision. I think it's normal to think, what have I've done, this is forever! It's been 6 weeks now and I'm feeling a lot better and as I feel better and can try new things to eat, I'm doing better on that. I'm really glad that I've made this decision. I'm looking forward to 6 months down the line when my body is healed and I'll be much thinner. So far I've lost 29 lbs. Try eating something, that makes you thirsty, it will help you wan****er more. I found that out by accident, but it works. Hang in there! Rose Monigold
I had my surgery on Dec 1st and I understand how your feeling. I came home from the hospital with pneumonia and than got thrush. I did nothing but vomit for the first 3 weeks. I kept saying it's gotta get better and it has. I am down 31 pounds, 30 inches off my body and have gone from a size 24 to a size 16 already in only 7 weeks. I would do this surgery again tomorrow if need be.
Hang in there it will get easier as time goes by. We are all learning what we can and can't do to are new tummy's and it can be an interesting experience as we learn
