The scales aren't moving!!!
HI NANNA... MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO STAY OFF THE SCALES BECAUSE THRE WOULD BE WEEKS THAT YOUR BODY IS ADJUSTING AND YOU WOULD NOT LOSE POUNDS BUT INCHES OR MAYBE YOU ARE GAINING MUSLE FROM EXERCIES YOU HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE.. WELL I COULD NOT STAY OFF THE SCALE I WEIGH EVERYDAY AND FOR THE LAST 10 DAYS THE SCALE DID NOT BUDGE... I ALSO WAS FRUSTRATED BUT KNEW I WAS DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT... AND ALL OF A SUDDEN YESTERDAY IT JUMPED 2 LBS... SO HANG IN THERE MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR WATER OTHERWISE YOUR BODY WILL STORE IT AND NOT SHED THE WATER WEIGHT...... GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER GIVE IT TIME... I WILL BE SIX WEEKS ON MONDAY....

And thank you for your post. My surgeon didn't really say anything about me getting on the scale but I know that I shouldn't be weighing that often. I just hope I get a drop soon before I have to go back to see him. I'd hate to think when I go back the 25th that I haven't lost any more than I had the last time I went for a check up. I found that if I drink Unjury protein (vanilla my favorite) and walk I do drop. But if I get my protein from say tuna fish and walk that I don't drop. I am new to this board so I don't know what you have already tried. But try mixing it up. such as a different kind of protein shake, have the protein first thing in the day, or having the protein last thing in the eveing etc. Vicky
Try to relax. My scale stopped moving for a week too and I hyperventilated. Are you getting your water and protein in? If not work on that. I have found that if I don't get my water in the scale stops moving. Our bodies have been through alot and the scales will stop moving from time to time to allow our bodies to catch up. Hang in there.

Thanks for the reply...I'm hoping that is all it is and that my body is trying to adjust and then everything will kick back in soon...I am doing better on the fluid intake than I thought...my hubby had miss measured and was telling me that 16oz was 8 oz so I was doing alot better than I thought on the fluids..Thank God...I do get my protein in most of the time but am having a real hard time staying away from potatoes...since they are soft it is easy to eat them but they dont' want me to have them yet...maybe I'm sabotaging myself...I'm thinking about doing a couple of days of liquids and seeing if it will kick start me again...Thanks again and best of luck..NannaS
