I saw my doc last week and he recommend something with aloe. I haven't got anything yet but I know you can get stuff at Walmart.

Hi! My doc's P.A. recommended that I get the highest concentration I could afford of Vitamin E oil. It is working really well and my scars look like little scratches. Good luck! I hear it is expensive, but luckily, someone gave me theirs after I had mentioned that I was going to go out and buy it. It is called Pure Vitamin E, 28,000 IU Oil in a 1 oz. bottle and it is made by Sundown Vitamins. Good Luck! Fran

How soon after surgery is it recommenced that we start putting vit E on the scars? I bought that maderma for scars but felt like I needed to wait until they were fully healed to use it? Vicky

Vicky, Mine were pretty much dried up and had no more scabs. I had been putting Neosporin ointment on them before bed. They were just pink, healed lines with a little redness around them. I think I was a little over a week when he told me no more Neosporin and to switch to Vitamin E. I didn't know Maderma made cream for scars, I thought it was for stretch marks. That's a good company! Good Luck! Fran

Well, I used Mederma and E and Lavender oils with my knee surgery (1.5 years ago). They all worked well. The scars are hardly noticable. I also just bought Strixaderm. good for tightening skin and scars. I am trying it and will let you all know how it goes.... the Strixaderm is VERY expensive. Just my 2 cents. Elisha 219/195.5/???
