13'rs Let's Check In
My official 1 mth loss is 33 lbs. I am gradually putting solid foods back in my diet. I have not been exercising regularly (Bad girl!). I did go shopping quite a few times though. (Does that count?) But I just started back to school on Monday and I go back to work next Monday. This next month I "will" vow to get my exercise in. Any other 13'rs out there want to join in my little 1 mth anniversary? We can do this every month to keep track of each other and our progress.

Hey Tina.
I'm down 30 pounds and seem to be holding. I scale everyday (I Know I shouldnt) and it hasnt move in 2 wks.
I exercise 3 out of 7 days (not enough) and I try to drink all my water, but I'm slipping there too.
I've been okayed to add solids to my diet since I handled liquids so well.
So happy 1 month anniversary to us!

Hey you all! I didn't know this exsisted. I was just playing around on the site.
I have not been exercising regularly yet either. I have to pay my gym bill, before I can go back. I did buy a pedometer and I do walk over 2 miles a day just in general.
I happened to go to my Primary Care Dr today for a check-up and I am offically down 37 pounds. Probably a few more because it's that time of the month. So let's say 40 (unofficially).
I will be willing to check in monthly with my twins, triplets, or how ever many there is of us.
My official one month weight loss is 36 lbs however I've been very sick the last two days. I have to go to the hospital tomorrow to have an Endoscopy my surgeon thinks I have a stricture. Oh well just a bump in the road. I still exercise by walking at least 4 - 5 days a week. I'm ready to join a gym but have to wait til I have more energy and feel better. I was eating at least 700 calories a day, 80 grams protein and 64 - 100 ounces of water a day. I'm ready for this vomiting to go away so I can get back on track. Goals for month two is to get off the scales everyday, walk more and add in some weight training for my already sagging arms and stomach. Yuck oh well it's better than 311 lbs of hard fat. Keep in touch guys would love to see how everyone is doing again next month.

Hello 13'rs, this is cute! I am down 48 lbs so far. My loss has slowed down to about 5lbs per week since starting on soft foods. I have been exercising since week 2. Only walking slow on the treadmill at home while watching Judge Joe Brown. LOL We have a had a few unseasonably warm days here in Southern MD, so I have walked to pick two of my three kids up at school and walked back home. They were way ahead of course, but the challenge was neat to take. Still have alot of tenderness and sometimes PAIN under my left ribs. Anyone else having that???
Hope you all continue to recover well and keep up the losing!!
Take Care

Another 13'r reporting in with a 33 pound loss as of yesterday, my 1 month checkup. Get to add in more solid foods in days to come. I had a longer recovery since I had my gall bladder out the same day. My pain has all come from that and not the gastric bypass.
I would count the shopping as exercise! Burns a lot of calories, looking, trying things on, walking around, etc.

Well now, i didn't know there was anyone else who shared my date. Happy 1 month anniversary everyone. Well at my last doctors appointment on 1/5/04 I was down 41 pounds, how about that. I have to admit that I am not working out regularly but I had my surgery on 12/13/04 and went back to work on 12/27/04 so I keep busy and move around alot. Everynow and then I get out andl walk my dog and I have a stationary bike at home that I ride. I have been shopping a few times too, the Aavenue had a 30-60% off sell and I could not pass that up. I have gone down from a 28 to 24 and thats great, can't wait to drop somemore of this other person that is riding my back holding me down
Great to find you all. Do you ever get together to hang out. Keep me posted
