well i had scrambled eggs for the first time last night. they were yummy BUT this morning i got up and even with sips of water i felt this weird sensation, discomfort. it kind of subsided. i had a protein shake, cottage cheese, and this afternoon i had refried beans which feels like i have a brick in my chest. i havnt gotten all my water in, but sipping on sugar free koolaid. have a slight headache, tired. OH and everytime i eat something i have to have a BM, and after a drink i have rumble tummy like i have to go again. should i call my doc? (12 days post op)
Hi there!
I had some saltines with Cheez-Whiz (5 grams protein at least for the cheese ) on them today and it also felt like a brick. I know I probably shouldn't have had the saltines but I am so tired of the scrambled eggs (which I was allowed when I left the hospital) and the Carnation Instant Breakfast. I hate beans and cottage cheese so I am bumming with that. I didn't have the sensation you described when I ate the eggs. Maybe your tummy isn't used to it yet? Maybe your tummy is taking a while to digest since it's new? If you try the eggs again and you have the discomfort, I would call your doc just to be on the safe side.
I also have the rumbling after I drink or after I eat (when something ever goes down). I was told it is normal. I am also very tired all the time...no energy which has been difficult to get used to. I have started taking B12 today and I seemed to have more energy today then in the past 2 1/2 weeks.

Hi I'm just catching up on my reading messages posted here. I'm one month out now. How's your energy problem now? I found that the more protein I get the better I feel and more energy I have. Also, didn't the cheez whiz have high fat count? Eating over 10 fat grams makes me feel sick. Hope you are doing better now. I'm one month out now and doing pretty well...except for acid reflux...ugh! Roxie B
