3 cheers for Viactive!
Anyone else using this for Calcium? I just couldn't stand another horse pill, so I tried this, and I LOVE it! It's just like candy. I've had the milk chocolate and the caramel, and the strawberries and cream sounds good, too. It seems too good to be true! Too bad they can't package Actigall, etc., the same way. know it has sugar (corn syrup is the number one ingredient), but I can tolerate it and it's not much carbs. Now if only they came out with a low-carb version of it!

I too am using this as extra calcium. I take Optisource chewable vitamin which I got from my Comprehensive Weight Loss doctors. I take 1 pill 4 times a day and this does supply me with the needed vitamins and supplements, great for B12 and all the essential B vitamins. I am doing very well, went to the doctors today. However the group feels that I am not eating enough. They want me to take in 1000 calories and at least 50 grams calcium. I have only been eating between 700-850 calories a day. So I will up my amounts and do what they ask. I track my intake on Fitday.com and this really helps accounting for the food.

Leslie,
Have you tried calcium citrate for your calcium? It is what my surgeon has me taking. I take the Caltrate chewables, 2 a day. They are fruit flavored and not that bad. It gives me 1200 mg of calcium plus other things. Of course I take my flinstone vitamin (every day) and a sublingual b-12(once a week). I am doing great as far as I know. I have no complaints. I told my friend in CA about Caltrate and she is going to try it also because she is not getting enough calcium. Good luck in whatever you find.

Be careful with the Viactive. It can lead right back to "old habits" or candy issues. You're right about the type of calcium, it is the wrong kind. You want calcium citrate. I'm taking the Citracal. It's a horse pill but it will disolve in liquid. It doesn't have a taste, but it is kinda gritty. I put it in a bottle of Crystal light, shake it every time I take a sip and just realize that after it's done, I'll probably need some water to wash the rest of it down.
Hope this helps!
