It has been exactly two weeks since my operation. WOW! What a difference a gastric bypass operation makes. I am extremely satisfied thusfar with my results. I have not had any complications whatsoever... and the best part is I've already lost 22 pounds. Thanks to all who have wished me the best of luck and offered their support one way or another. This is a great tool for us and I pray for all of those who have pending surgeries. Good Luck and God Bless you to have much success as I'm already on my way to having.

Hi Clarice!! I too am 2 weeks out. I have lost 27 pounds. Unfortunately I have absolutely no appetite and I am struggling with this more than I thought I ever would. I miss my best friend (food) but I know that I will feel better in the long run. My energy levels are getting better a little bit each day. I had no idea how much I would miss things like soda and chewing. Congrats to you and keep in touch.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly miss chewing also, especially meat! I love the stuff. But, I realize that it is mind over matter and I will once again be able to eat it. This process is something that we've waited on for a long, long time! We have to let it work in our favor, and it will. We have to know that in time, it will all get better and easier for us to deal with. I wish you much success and do hope we can keep in touch to help lift each other up during the tuff times. : ) Let the journey to happiness and health begin with the 27 pounds you have already lost...much more is definitely on the downside.
