Abdominal Binder...
I had posted a few days ago about a terrible pain that hit me a week ago, last Wednesday. It was like a knife going through me each time I tried to rise from a sitting or lying position or moved a certain way.
Well, the pain is no longer "stabbing" but it still takes the breath away once in a while..just like something popping out and not going back in (best way to describe it). I have since seen the doctor twice and he keeps telling me it is the muscle next the major incision that has been strained.
Well, I hit upon the idea of an absominal binder to see if that would help the situation, and the doctor sanctioned this and even offered to write a prescription for one. I was told that it would not hurt anything inside, and would probably give me the needed support for being mobile.
I have to tell you guys that it WORKS! My husband helps me put the binder on in the mornings while I am laying down, and I wear it most of the day. There is still a little discomfort, but NOTHING like before. I guess it is going to take quite a while to stop hurting and completely go away.
So, for anyone out there that is having similar problems post-op...PLEASE ask your doctor about getting an abdominal binder. They can be obtained from a medical supply store or even a pharmacy. If they don't have your size, they can be ordered. I wish I had gotten mine when this first began.
Take care, and God bless each of you.

My doctor sent me home wearing a binder. The week of Christmas, I had the same thing happen to me. I left out a scream when it happened and scared everyone in the house! My doctor said, that when he did the surgery, a mess/net thing is put around something, and stitched to my body to hold it into place and that I pulled that. Very painful! It took over 2 weeks for it to go from a sharp pain when moving like you said to just being sore right now. He said, that it will take time. I know how you feel. The binder does help with it. Take care...Rose Monigold
