Saving money with WLS?
I can see that this may actually save, in the long run! (This is how I justified buying two half-price tops, one size smaller than before, after losing just 22 pounds!). Today I went to Chipotle with my daughter, and had a burrito bol. I had the carnitas since it is the mildest, and shredded. I kept the cheese, sour cream and tomatoes, and put 2/3 of the meat and toppings aside, to take home. Then I ate the meat, etc, including some black beans but no rice. It was wonderful!! Normal food, finally! I figure that the leftovers will be two meals for me ... how great is that!? Of course, I hated to throw out that lovely rice, but it's a small price to pay ... I'm even looking forward to being able to eat half of a Lean Cuisine for a meal, or even a third.

I'm saving quite a bit also, but from not stopping at every fast food drive in I pass by!! I had surgery on 12/20 and have lost about 20 lbs., but it came off very quickly (just a few days after surgery)..so I'm wondering when I might start losing again. The scales have not budged since that initial loss. Does anyone else seem to be doing this too. I know it's still early and I'm rushing things...guess I'm just getting too anxious. Hope all is well with everyone.
Sincerely,
Lisa
Lisa,
My surg was 12/21 and I'm down about 23 lbs. (Plus 11 preparing for surgery). But, I've come to a screeching halt. I was loving walking to the scale and seeing it down every single time. But, my doc says I'm doing well. I can see how easily I'll be disappointed though. Keep faith, girl and keep in touch with me. We'll walk the journey and pitfalls together.
