13 days post-op
I haven't posted much anywhere but wanted to just say I survived the surgery and am finally feeling with the program. I was in the hospital for 5 days, went home Christmas Eve. Had some problems with a lot of fluid (8 lbs.) around my lungs and heart and needed meds IV to take care of it. Was really good to get home. I'm down about 20 pounds and go to see the surgeon in a couple of days to get my staples taken out. I think the g-tube comes out the following week. I will be glad to move on to soft foods where at least there is something to "chew". Thanks to all who share their WLC journey.

Hi, I'm the same route you're on. I was d/c'd on Christmas eve, too. We've got a new year ahead of us, don't we??
Tell me how you're getting your protein in. I'm struggling so much. My life consists of popsicles at this point. Just about everything else gets me nauseated.
Keep up the good work, and please keep in touch. I need you!
