Dec 7th people what are you eating??
Hello on Tuesday I will be 4 weeks out.
I had my surgery on December 7th
Just wondering what everyone is eating.
My menu for today is:
Breakfast - Cream of oats cereal with milk and splenda
snack - cottage cheese 1/3 cup
lunch - bean soup 1/3 cup
snack - cheese stick and crackers 3 saltines
dinner - going to try spegetti with sauce no mean haven't really tried hamburger yet just a little in lazanna one time it agreeded with me but am afraid to eat it.
snack - protein shake 35 grams of protein
water and crystal light all day sipping and sipping
So post and lets get some new ideas from one another.
My surgery was on 12/09.
I have a hard time eating breakfast and lunch but I try and eat a little something. I'll eat the fallowing for breakfast. Yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs with melted cheese on it sometimes. Grits that are watered down. I even have
For lunch I'll have soup. canned crab meat or I bought some shrimp the other day.
For dinner I'll eat crab meat, shrimp, mash potatoes with cheese melted on it. I'll have soup also. Depends on what sounds good to me.
I tried lasagna but it did not agree with me. I also tried some pieces of dark turkey meat but that did not settle to well. I have tried Wendy's chili as my surgeon said that Wendy's is wonderful chili for WLS patients as they cook it so long that it's nice and tender and I don't have a problem taking it down but I have to watch what I eat as I get gas at night and it keeps me up.
I also have Crystal light and ice tea besides my water I drink in the day time. I also have a small cup of coffee in the morning but I don't go over board like I did before surgery, 5 to 6 cups in the morning of very strong coffee.
I asked someone today about the protein drinks and she said she likes Isopure and Designer Whey so I might adventure out tomorrow and by some and try them out as that might help me in the mornings instead of forcing myself to eat.

Sharon_ I had surgery Dec 6th my normal day is.... breakfast- decaf hot tea, cream of wheat(plain), 6oz of protein drink. lunch- creamed soup, 2-3oz atkins strawberry yogurt, supper- creamed soup, yogurt or pudding. This weekend I started adding in soft mushy food, so I made chicken salad with a little relish and ff mayo which was wonderful also I had a wheat saltine cracker with that. For snacks I will have sf popsicle or part of a protein drink. I am trying to do two cans of protein drink a day which adds up to 70 calories protein in just the shakes alone. Plus lottttts of water. Not very exciting !
I was 1 week on the light protein (isopure), 1 week on the heavyer protein drinks (shakes), 1 week on pureed foods, just started eating new years eve - but on low cal, high protein, low carb no red meat diet.
I have not had any problems except eggs make me nauseous about 10 minutes after I eat them.
I do decaf coffee in the am, water or the flavored water afternoon, and then sleepytime tea at night so I .
I find I can only eat about 2 oz at a sitting, but I am trying not to throw up and not to get sick or anything stuck so I am probably stopping right at the "just barely full" stage. But so far I have had no problems except I need to put a snack in for about 1 more oz of protein since I can just barely get my protein eating 2 oz three times a day.
HI. I HAD MY SURG 12/6. RIGHT NOW, I EAT 1 SCRAMBLED EGG FOR BREAKFAST; 1/3 OF A GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST FOR LUNCH (A VERY SMALL CHICKEN BREAST); COUPLE PIECES OF CHEESE W/TWO UNSALTED SALTINE CRACKERS OR TUNA (2OZS W/MAYONAISSE(LOW FAT) FOR DINNER. ALSO, SOMETIMES I'LL HAVE A PIECE OF TOASTED WHITE BREAD W/PEANUT BUTTER ON IT. I'VE ALSO HAD SOME MCDONALDS FRIES- I KNOW I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BUT THEY WERE DELICIOUS. AND, I'VE DRANK SOME COCA-COLA (TINY BIT)... SUE
