Home and resting

Well, I had my surgery Wed, came home Fri afternoon a day ahead of schedule, and I have been feeling pretty good the entire time. I cannot believe that I feel as well as I do. I have a low pain threshold but a high pain tolerance, so I really expected to feel as if I'd been hit by a Mack truck for at least a week. I haven't even had any pain meds since leaving the hospital. (I never understood how people could say that, now I do.) My gallbladder surgery hurt much worse than this. Now I am just dealing with the emotional demons of my mind trying to convince my stomach that it is hungry! This is harder than the day of surgery!

Welcome home!!! I too had my surgery on Wednesday! I was released on Thursday. For me, the surgery hurt like h*ll! But, I had never had surgery before, so I had nothing to compare it to. I am sooooo glad yours wasn't as bad! Anyway, definitely rest up and take care of yourself. I just thought I would write since we share the same re-birthday! Hugs! Melissa

Glad your home and doing so well. I had two stomach surgeries in the passed so this was a breeze for me also. Donna
