Now Post-Op - Thanks for all the support

Well I finally made it to post-op and recovering wonderfully. I am even back to work. Thanks for all the support given. I felt like I really knew what to expect between my Doctor and this website. The only problems I am having is with drinking too fast and my back hurts. But, besides that I have had very little problems. My 2-week follow-up appointment is next Tuesday. Can't wait to see if I have lost any more. I do feel real blotted so it is hard to tell. Thanks again for all the support and encouragement.

Linda, It is great to hear that you are doing well. It is hard to feel like you are making progess with the bloat in the beginning, but that will go away soon. Best wishes for a continued good recovery and lots of success. Mary

Linda: Had my lap on 12/20 also. I have had very little problems also, mainly diarrhea. I thinks it's when I eat too much or eat fatty cream soups. If I only eat about 1/4 cup of something I do much better. I was 138.5 the day of surgery (142 my highest at the Dr.'s office). I'm down to 120 now. Can't really tell a lot tho...just some of the swelling is way down. I have had that bloated feeling every day now. It's been hard to tell when I'm full. But I have not thrown up or been nauseated at all. Hope your follow-up goes well. God Bless Lisa Stephens

Thanks for the post. I had a problem with diarrhea when I was in the hospital and my first day home. Now everything is normal. You and I seem to be having the same problems and I was the same weight at the hospital. I also feel bloated and hard to tell when I'm full. I have been having some cream soups, but I might go back to broth today. Sometimes I think I am eating too much and do not want to go back to my old eating habits. I want this to work so bad. I notice that you are from Texas. I am from OKlahoma. Maybe we can help each other out. I hope your recovery goes well also. Thanks again Linda Malone
