Has anyone heard of people that gained back their weight after a couple of years? I am scheduled to have NRY on 01/08 and am scared. I have an 8 month old baby girl and am scared to risk my life and then gain it all back later. Dani

From everything I have read and heard it is alllll up to you. If you do not change your lifestyle of eating and excersize you probably will gain back some. This is just like with anything else you have to be ready to change it all and not think this is going to do it for you. Don't do it unless you are ready. It is a very life changing thing. Make sure you read up on it as much as possible. I did and it helped a lot. Not to mention all of the people on this web site that have helped oohhh so much.. Michelle PS Trust in God to steer you in the right direction and you will never be wrong.

HI DANIELA.. I'M 3 WEEKS POST-OP ON MONDAY. IF YOU DON'T KEEP UP WITH THIS LIFESTYLE AND HEALTHY EATING HABITS, AS WELL ASD EXCERSISE, THEN YES WITHIN THE THREE -FIVE YEAR SPAN, YOU WILL GAIN BACK 30%-50% OF YOUR WEIGHT GAIN. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I'M VERY HAPPY WITH MY CHOICE. THE PUREED FOOD DIET THING IS GROSS BUT PAST THAT I'M HAPPY AFTER THE SURGERY YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT IMMEDIATELY AND SECOND GUESS IF YOU WANT HIGH RIH FOODS OR SWEETS. THEN YOU GET MOTIVATED TO START EXCERCISING BC YOU KNOW YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DECISION BUT KEEP IN MIND IT IS A HUGE DEAL..AVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR! CHER
