I'm alive and doing well

Hello All Well, it's been about 2 1/2 weeks since surgery and I'm doing pretty good. Everyday I feel better and doing more. I'm alittle depressed right now. I think it's the weather...all foggy and cold. I can't wait til I'm feeling 100% and also be able to eat alittle better. This is a real change...my family is still eating the same and I'm here eating bits and pieces. I know it will get better!! I've lost 25lbs so far and very excited about that. Thanks so much for all the well the wishes and prayers...I really felt them and my recovery has been remarkable! Happy New Year Everyone...God Bless! Joanie

I had my surgery the day before yours and I'm doing wonderful also. I have lost 30lbs as of 12/23. We all got the greatest gift for Christmas we could ever ask for. Happy New Year to you also Donna

It sure is!!! I can't believe how fast the weight is coming off....but I'm not eating to keep a bird alive...LOL!! Glad you are doing good! God Bless Joanie

Hi Joanie, I just had the lap band on 12/23--I had a house full of guests for the holidays--talk about not being able to eat with everyone else---that was torture. Most of the time I didn't want to eat, it was only when I smelled something. Tomorrow is my 1st follow up after surgery and I hope that my diet gets advanced because I am really sick of clear liquids. Good luck to you Gina

Hi Gina How did your following up go? I know what you mean about being torture...I wanted to eat so bad but knew if i did, i would regret it. I had soft foods and a little pumpkin pie. Hope you are doing well Happy New Year Joanie
