I have a question.i had my surgery the 14th of Dec.,and we went out to dinner to a seafood restraunt.i only had fish, but i also ordered tea out of habit.unsweetened of course.but anyway i took a sip of the tea,and it went down really well, and it made me feel better, because im always nautious feeling.should i be not drinking this ? also my left side was feeling so much better, and i think i somehow pulled that main spot on your left side, and it has been hurting again. Hi Donna, I suspect different doctors have differing recommendaitons regarding tea. I was (am) allowed tea. large quantities were not recommended due to caffeine and diuretic effect but tea was on my list of clear liquids and right from the start I was drinking a cup of tea every morning with no ill effects. If you are not sure, check with your doctor, but in my case anyway it was fine (including druing the first few days mmediately following my surgery). r

I don't know about the tea, but that is great that you are eating fish! I'm still on soft foods, myself. I did try tuna with mayo, but either the tuna or the mayo did NOT agree with me, so I am sticking to the soft foods for now. ~~ Leslie

I also had surgery Dec. 14. I was told tea is ok but it has to be caffiene free. I usually have tea with me most of the day. Crystal Light raspberry tea is great.
