1 week today

I am one week post op. I feel great and am so excited by my new chance at life! Thanks to all my friends and two very special gp angels, Patty D. and Diane B. Patty is a close friend who had this procedure done and is 1 year post op. She is down 218+ lbs. Diane, I met by email through this site. She used my doctor a year ago. She's a big loser too! They are wonderful ladies! Aside from my awesome doctor, his staff and the hopspital staff, I want to thank my wonderful, supportive husband, kids and family. I also would like to thank the other courageous people who have given their input in this site which was so helpful to me in my decision making. I am blessed to have you all in my life!

Good Luck to you Fran in your new journey! I am almost a year out and like to pop in and say good luck to the newby's that are getting ready to have surgery or just newly out of surgery! Great progress Fran! Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm one week out post op and am doing fine. Start pureed foods today. The adjustment has been difficult but I'm making it. Have a great new year! Joe

I am also one week out! My doctor has me on clear liquids for four weeks. I'm surprised at how many of you get to start the pureed foods so much earlier. I've lost 10 pounds as of today...I was happy about it until I started seeing how much more everyone has lost in the same period of time. Oh well, I'll just have to focus on my goals and not worry too much...as long as it is coming off I will be happy!
