SEE YOU NEXT WEEK.... BONBON
Hi Bon-Bon,
I am doing good, I still have burning and pain on my left side. I feel good , but I am still do broth and liquids. I had some mashed potatos yesterday. I work and I will go back tonight on light duty. Why do you have crying spells? I used to take zoloft before my surgery, and was wondering when can I start back taking them. Anyway, I haven't weighed myself. I will today when I go to the docter's office. Keep up the good work!!!!
Hi Bon Bon!!
Fellow 6'er reporting in!!
As of today, down 28lbs!
As far as the emotional roller coaster, it's the 3 week blahs, I've been warned about them. You're losing a lot of weight and dumping estrogen while you lose, hence the emotions.
I'm on soft foods (showing how each doctor is different). Enjoying my salmon and shrimp, and well cooked veggies.
I'm going back to work next Tuesday. I work full time, desk job.
Ready to start 2005 as the year that's all about ME!
Hope you're feeling better!!
Hugs,
Megan
I am doing really great. I am on regular food, cut up stuff really fine and chew, chew, chew. Found that a slice of black forest ham did not agree so I will stay away from that. I found a fantastic protein drink and that is helping me achieve my daily goals for good weight loss and muscle protection. It is call Jay Robb's Whey protein mix, found it in 2 flavors at Whole Foods Market. It is good tasting, not gritty, dissolves fast in H2O or in Skim Plus milk. I get 35 grams proteing with the milk and 24 with the H2O. I also found some good almost sugar free puddings with 3 grms protein and some great tasting cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese sticks with 5 or 7 grms protein. So happy I can tolerate getting in what my doctors want for protein, 80-90 grms per day. I have a wonderful chewable vitamin and found that the viactin calcium is a good supplement for me also. I have no pain from the surgery, very tiny holes made by the surgeon so really not pain. My knees still hurt from the arthritis but they are getting better too. I am off 5 meds and this is great. My blood sugars are in line and getting lower each day. All in all this journey has gone better than I expected. I had read everything, explored all the good and bad stuff and know that I made the right decision. Found the right surgeon and weight support group. Happy me. Hope that your journey's are great too. New birthday, Dec 6 hurrah for us.
