Clear Liquids
I felt the same way, I could only eat jello, beef and chicken broth, juice and lots of water. Once I even had some jello (liquid) before it had set. Hang in there it will get easier. Luckily I only had to be on the clear liquids for one week. I had my lap-band surgery on Dec.1st. I'm on pureed foods now.

I understand, I had WLS on the 14th of December. It seems like I spend most of my time trying to get all my water in for the day, slipping a bit of sugar free jello and strained chicken noodle soup broth(I can't stand the canned broth). You only have to do it for about a week. Focus on the water and pretend that in that bowl of broth is your steak and baked potatoe.
Once again this is what is wierd. I had lap rny on the same day as Christi and I got moved to pureed food the third day post-surgery (12/17)
We still have to drink a bunch of liquids. It finally dawned on me 15 minutes ago that we can also have sf popsicles. My wife bought some and I totally forgot about them. Might be a nice switch in flavor from chicken broth.
I the hospital they gave me caffeine free herbal tea with every meal. I hated it because I just don't like the taste of coffee or tea. They even tried switching the flavors for me a couple of times - didn't help. The only thing that made it slightly better was adding some Splenda to it.
So there is two ideas for you. Good Luck

I'm eating sf popsicles, hot caffine variety flavored teas, water, broths, chocolate carb countdown mixed with ice and chocolate unjury protien - tastes just like a sinful chocolate milkshake. I also bot the unflavored unjury protein and I mix it with absolutely everything. I puree soups with it added in with additional liquid. I also drink the nestle carnation instant breakfast - 0 sugar/0 carbs added. It's really good and filled with nutriants. I found it at walmart. Hope this helps.
