Would love to know how everyone is doing so far. Thought it might be good to compare/contrast experiences so far. Joe

I am feeling prety good as well. Switched over to pureed foods today. Man it was tough getting them down. Are you all bloated up as well? Maybe when that goes away it will be easier for me. Joe

12-15-04 Lap Band Revision - Port replaced and tubing connector replaced. Pain, is pretty bad at times. Stage II liquid diet. A bit hungry. The pain meds make me feel very nauseated so I tend not to take them. Walked on the treadmill for 10 minutes! Wow! Hope you all are doing well. Good luck and Happy Holidays

I had surgery on Monday. Came home on Wednesday. Feeling pretty good today actually. Still on just liquids at this time. I had a bad reaction to the morphine in the hospital and ran a slight fever but other than that not really alot of pain or anything. It was really alot less painful than I expected it to be. I gained some fluid weight in the hospital but so far I have lost around 25 lbs since my two week liquid diet prior to surgery. Lovin the losing. Good luck to all.

RNY-LAP on Tuesday 12/1/4, went home late the evening after on 12/15/04. Feeling better, was pretty tight in the chest until today, but seems like the liquids are going down much easier, I am concerned about getting 2 liters of water down each day, have not come close yet. Still on stage I till middle of next week.

What I find so amazing is the wide variations on what doctors "prescribe" for our diets when we come home after surgery. My surgeon has me reading the official "how to" guides from the some official Bariatric library (where ever that is). It says to start pureed foods on day 3 - thus my doctor is following that wisdom. Guess we all need to go with the flow until we get a couple of months out and then it all seems to even out according to what I read on the main board. I say we all stick together - everyone in? Joe

I'm doing okay - still on various liquids. I did try some of the spaghetti sauce I made for my daughter and it went down fine - tomatoes, mushrooms, herbs, etc. Just chewed well. I do have a pain in the upper right qudrant of my abdomen. Someone on the board told me it was my J tube and it should quit hurting after I get it out tomorrow. I thought it was a hernia already. I also thought it was because my daughter accidentally forgot about my surgery and pushed herself off my bed by pushing her hand against my surgery - can we say OWIE!!!!!!
