I am home
I got home Tuseday night about 9:00 pm. I was up and down, could not lay in a good position to go to sleep. my hand that the IV was in, was twice its size. I was scared to sleep in my side. But this morning I slept about two hours that way. I want to thank everyone for their kind and caring words for me. I have missed you all...
I just wanted to let you all that I was at home...
Dr Boone told me that my potassium was to low so before he let me go. I have to have two IVs of potassium...
Have a great day...
That's great! I hope you are doing well! I got home Friday, Dec. 10th. Each day gets better. I know it's hard to get in a good position to sleep. I used lots of pillows and slept on my back for about 4 days. I'm not a back sleeper, but it was better than nothing. I now with pillows can sleep on my sides, I still haven't sleeped a whole night through. The longest I can sleep is 4-5 hours. I get up several times to pee! I don't nap during the day anymore, so that helps. I pray that you have a speedy recovery. Good Luck to you! Rose
I think being restless the first few days at home is to be expected. I've been home for 10 days and just now getting to where I can sleep all night. I still wake up very early, but also go to sleep early. I'm still sleeping on my sides and back.
If you are laying on your back, it may help to put some pillows under your knees to take some of the pressure off your lower back.
You have a lot to look forward to. Walk as often as you can. Rest when you're tired. And drink lots of water. Donna
