Suggestions to get Approval from Primary Care Physician

Hello Everyone, I have my first appointment with my Primary Care Physician today. I have Healthnet Insurance and it is with an HMO. I am not at all sure how to go about getting her to request an authorization for a surgery. I live in Southern California and have been looking at three different centers. Dr. Fobi in Hawaiian Gardens, CA. A doctor Peter LePort in Orange, Ca and one other program called the LivLite Program. Has anyone heard of these doctors or programs ? I want to make an informed decision and I thought this would be the best place to get first hand information. I have about 140 pounds to loose. Please Help !!! Thank you, Michelle

Well Dr. Fobi is the person for whom the Fobi pouch is named. Additionally, he's done thousands of procedures. I would certainly start with him.
