Thank you for your prayers and support
I am home and at least resting - found out the hospital is not the place to try to rest, it was a nightmare for me. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. My hubby has been a great nurse helping me to get in a comfy position and just trying to be supportive in any way he can. I appreciate the support of all the members and felt a total peace during surgery - I knew many were praying for me. Thank you!!
I am feeling a bit of a tightness in my chest and my tummy is rumbling around making lots of noise. Hope it is trying to get rid of the gas. I have only been eating a couple of bites at a time and seem full - I am so afraid to overeat. It's hard to tell if it is the tightness in my chest from the surgery - I feel that all the time or if I am full. Not sure what "full" feels like. I guess that will come in time. I will try some yogurt this morning and see how I do with that. I want something different than jello or broth.
The other thing that is a bit of a downer is that I have only lost 1 pound since surgery and 7 pounds in the 3 days prior to surgery. I was hoping for a bit more, especially since I have only had 6 bites of jello, 1 cup of broth, 1 popsicle and 2 cups of hot tea in the past 3 days. I ate almost all of that in one day prior to surgery.
Again thanks for your prayers and I am glad to have this over and looking forward to my "new" life!
Thanks!!

LISA FIRST GRATS YOU ARE ON THE LOSING SIDE.... AND I GLAD YOU HUBBY IS A GOOD AID TO YOU... AS FAR AS LOSING... IT IS AMAZING THAT YOU SHOW A LOSS MOST OF US HAVE GAINED AND I AM TOLD IT IS BECAUSE OF THE FORCED FLUIDS IV AND SOMETIMES YOUR BODY IS HOLDING FLUID BECAUSE OF THE SURGERY.. I GAINED 8 LBS. MY SURGERY WAS ON THE 6TH AND I JUST LAUGHED BECAUSE YOU GO TO SURGERY TO LOSE WEIGHT AND YOU WIND UP GAINING WEIGHT... BUT IT WILL TURN AROUND MAYBE IN A WEEK AND ALL FALL OFF....
