Getting nervous ! ! ! !

Hello, everyone! This is my first time posting and I would like to know how to handle my nervousness. I'm sure I'm making the right decision but my date is 12/20/04 and I had my pre-op visit with Dr. Irgau yesterday. Everything seems so final now. I didn't get any sleep last night. Did this happen to anyone else or is anyone else experiencing this? Dena

My date is 12/17 and I haven't sleep and I got sick with a cold so I'm a nervous wreck. I understand it's perfectly normal to be anxious. We just have to focus on the positive and know we are striving for a healthier life. Good Luck and I'll pray for you on 12/20.

Mine's the 15th - If I stop and think about it I get a little nervous but right now I have so much going on that I haven't had time to think much about it. Hang in there - let God take control. Candy E

Hi Getting nervous!! This is my first time posting or shall I say replying. Any ways my surgery date is next THURSDAY the 16th. I totally understand what you are going through. However, yesterday I ran into a friend at the bank and asked me how I was doing - I explained to her that I was getting nervous - she stoped me and said Girl that is negative energy that you are sending and thats not what you should be feeling. Think of happy thoughts and how confident your team of surgeons are. And what are your plans while you are loosing the weight. Happy thoughts. This will also help you, if you can get a meditation tape or CD, they sell ones that you listen to before and after surgery. It will help relax you and will also help with a speedy recovery. (thats what they say). I have one and I don't feel as anxious. Maybe it does help. Good luck to you. Hope this will help you. Many blessings. Demetra
