Hey everyone, I just got home about two hours ago! Everything went very smoothly. Even though my one drawback was morphine causing me nausea. No problems at all at this point. I start my stage 3 diet tomorrow. Which consists of CIB and clear liquids in between. The doctor and hospital staff treated me very well. Although, I am very glad to be home. Just wanted to express my sincere thanks to everyones kind words and prayers that I have received over the past few weeks prior to surgery. To all the 6ers out there, hope to hear from you soon. And to all the pre-ops, you're in for the ride of your life! Hold on Tight!! I wish you all the best! I will keep in touch! (((hugs))) Colleen ~ from the losing side.

Colleen welcome home!! I am also a sixer like you. Glad to hear everything went well. What type of pain management are you using at home? Ive been taking Tylenol 3's. Today I woke up and feel much better not too much pain so Ill see how long I can hold out without any paid meds. Let me know if you have any suggestions on getting your water and protein in cause its killing me. I think yesterday I had a total of 20-30 oz of water and MAYBE 30 g of protein. What about vitamins, what vitamins are you taking? Sorry to bombard you with so many questions.... I wish you a speedy recovery! BRENDA

Hey Brenda, Congratulations on your Surgery! My Surgeon requires three full weeks of 4oz of CIB alternating with 4-8oz of clear liquids each hour from 8am to 10pm! I'm sure it will be a long three weeks! But so far so good. I don't mind the sugarfree CIB at all. I found out that very cold water made me feel very uncomfortable. They sent me home with Percoset. I hate it because it knocks me off my feet even when i only take one! So I sent the DH to CVS for some tylenol, but that doesn't seem to cut any of the pain! So as far as pain management goes, i'm at a loss myself! Sry I can't help you with that! I guess it doesn't help to get your period a day and a half after surgery!! I'm sure we can all be more help to one another once we are out a little longer! Take care! (((HUGS))) Colleen

Hi There, Welcome home. I had surgery on the 6th as well and you are right, it is the best thing I've ever done. A little sore but feeling like I can run. I had such a wonderful experience in the hospital I want to go back because they had such a warm bedside manner. I wish everyone the best. KH

Hello all, I am feeling so much better today but I felt like crap last night it was not good. But I know that it was major surgery so it will take time. all I can tolerate is Milk and watered down Apple Juice other than that it makes me sick just thinking about other things. I am so glad that everyone is okay. -Claudia
