The shakes

I recently got over a sinus/upper respiratory infection. Now, the shakes that I will be using seem to be causing a lot of mucus/phlegm. ICK! I only noticed this since the onset of the infection. They are being prepped with light soy milk to get the adequate protein in them over carbs. Even the prepared ones cause the same thing. I start the liquid protein in the morning for two weeks. Flavor's not a problem. The peach tastes pretty darned good. Today I will clean out the fridge, and I think I need to go buy a chicken so that I can make my broth. Since I learned how to make broth a month ago, I just can imagine paying the cost of the canned stuff. Then I'll have the chicken frozen for post-op. I already did that with some Tom Kha Gai (Thai chicken with cocoanut milk) soup. I have both the liquid and then the solids I pureed.
