GOT A DATE AND SUPPORT I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET

Got my date for Lap Band on 12/13. Told my family lst night and was blown away from their reaction. I thought they would have been so mad, but they are actually happy. I hid it from them since September. Brought a book to them on it and told them this is what I wanted. They are totally supportive and now my mom wants to do it. LOL

I am happy for you. I went to visit my parents on Thanksgiving and did not get the courage to tell them. I did not want them to be scared during the surgery or try to convince me out of it. I plan on telling them after. Good luck on you surgery!

See no problem. Remember they love you and even if some had their doubts it would only be for that reason. By the way we have the same date- I have mine also on the 13th. I just hope my 2 middle children come thru to help me and don't leave everything for my 8 yo. Linda
